PAMPLEMOUSSE
PAMPLEMOUSSE was founded in 2015 by Danica Zheng in downtown New York.
Born into a Chinese family, Danica Zheng was raised in Singapore where she soon developed an appreciation and natural talent for Art. At the age of thirteen, she was selected by a prestigious art scholarship program offered by the Singapore government. Since then, she decided to focus her energies toward the study of Art and Design.
After attending architecture school in California at USC, she decided to move to New York City to attend Parsons for fashion design, where she continued to hone her skills. During her time there, Zheng was nominated for the Neiman Marcus Innovative Project. Looks from her Senir Thesis were also selected for the Parson’s Benefit Show, as well as Saks Fifth Avenue’s display window.
Before jumping-start her career as a freelance designer for Calvin Klein Collection, she interned for various major fashion houses including Narciso Rodriguez, Carolina Herrera and Jen Kao, to name a few.
In 2015, Zheng founded Pamplemousse in downtown New York. Always keeping an open mind and looking our for beauty, she draws inspirations from unexpected places to combine with her own vision. The designer believes in paying attention to details in the engineering of thoughtful and meaningful designs. She is dedicated to creating precious pieces that awaken every woman’s inner voice, and collections that consistently bring out that magic.
