Born in 1989 and raised in Saint Petersburg, Russia, through hard draft Kim started teaching himself how to sew from the age of 12, launching his first collection at the age of 16 at Saint Petersburg Fashion Week. In 2006, Kim moved to London to embark on the esteemed Central Saint Martins BA Fashion and MA Fashion. He is the youngest ever MA graduate under the legendary Professor Louse Wilson, who encouraged him to launch his own brand in London.
Along the way, Kim has assisted Alexander McQueen in his Clerkenwell studio and in 2011 he won the Chloe Award and the Pringle Award for second consecutive year. Kim launched his eponymous brand in 2012 and is based in Dalston.
Throughout his collections, Kim approaches design with a couturier’s vision and estribes to bring high fashion techniques to everything he does.
