Aganovich is first and foremost a love affair. Nana Aganovich and Brooke Taylor met in a pub in London in 2002. By 2005 they had decided they wanted to work on something together for the rest of their lives. Combining Nana’s experience in fashion design and Brooke’s in literature they chose to launch a fashion label. 

An initial London-based effort was soon exchanged for a focus on Paris where they showed their first collection in 2009. Paris has proven to be the true spiritual home for the brand allowing them to quickly gain access to the official calendar and garner both critical and commercial success.

Unusual fabric combinations and structural tension have become trademarks of the Aganovich brand. For SS13 vintage brocade is matched to forest green linen in superimposed panels; sharply tailored half dresses and asymmetrical skirts provide an unsettling terrain of references. A feminine infusion of crushed pink silk disrupts masculine overtones. Articulated elements elaborate a pre-occupation with puzzles while the thinly disguised spirit of the clown quietly presides over the riddle of the Aganovich woman.
