Altewai.Saome was created by Natalia Altewai and Randa Saome in Malmo, Sweden, in 2009. After studying and working in major Italian fashion houses, the two young designers decided to launch their own brand in their home country, where they presented their first collection - FW 11/12 – at the Stockholm Fashion Week in 2011. The brand was already enjoying international consensus at its second season - SS 12 – and the duo won the Elle Award for Best Newcomer of the Year and then the Maxfactor Award. Early in 2012, Natalia Altewai and Randa Saome launched their first men's line alongside the women's collection.
The Altewai.Saome brand merges the minimalism of Nordic creativity – characterized by purity of line and an experimental approach to materials – with a more southern European focus on couture detailing. The result is a sophisticated style with a strong feel for colour and decoration.
The SS13 Collection was inspired by Argentinian artist Raoul Mazzoni. Based on geometric shapes that are in colors such as black, white, grey, blush and flashes of orange. The sunglasses featured are a collaboration with KunoQvist.
